Courtney serves as the Scientific Project Manager in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Science Policy and Strategy and Precision Medicine. Courtney works closely with Keith Yamamoto, PhD, Vice Chancellor of Science Policy and Strategy, where she provides strategic project management for various initiatives including; precision medicine, genomics, research strategy, population health, health equity, institutional operational improvements, local and national research initiatives with focus on projects within the national laboratories and DOE. Courtney works to convene stakeholders, develop and implement communication strategies, identify strengths, opportunities, and develop efficiencies for the multiple programs she supports. For the last several years, Courtney has worked in close collaboration with Dr. Keith Yamamoto to strategically design sessions for UCSF's presence at the annual Precision Medicine World Conference (PMWC), highlighting the diverse population of UCSF faculty.

While with the School of Medicine Courtney managed projects at The California Initiative to Advance Precision Medicine (CIAPM) the UCSF Bridge Funding program, Research Evaluation and Allocation Committee (REAC) and the Integrated Funding Model (IFM) for the UCSF School of Medicine. Prior to this position, Courtney was a member of the Virtual Home team of the Clinical and Translationial Science Institute (CTSI) at UCSF and a member of the UC BRAID team. Prior to CTSI she was a lab manager for multiple pediatric oncology & immunology labs at UCSF. She comes to UCSF with a professional background in nonprofit program management, pediatric oncology lab management, clinical research, project management, sex education, HIV/AIDS outreach and education. She is a rare disease patient and advocate, educating the medical community one conversation at a time.
